This site is primarily for members of the University of the Third Age (U3A) in Hadleigh, Suffolk, to inform members about computer group activities and to provide tips and information related to computing for retired folks.
I have been a head teacher/lecturer/writer and am now retired. While I was a full-time carer, my computer enabled me to reach out from home to communicate with others, to increase my knowledge, skills and understanding and to develop my creativity in a wide variety of ways. This is what I aim to share with my friends. The computer is a wonderful tool for communication, research and creativity.
I use it for writing and editing, making original greetings cards as well as creating animated, musical slide shows with my own photographs. I create embroideries based on manipulated photographs, printed on silk, machine quilted and then beaded by hand. I am exploring the use of ICT in worship.
Coordinating the U3A computer groups is an absorbing interest and ongoing challenge. This also forms my “Area of Service” which is part of the two-year theology and bible course in which I am engaged called “Training for Learning and Serving” (TLS). The course is run by the United Reformed Church.

I’m glad you are still twittering, we need to know what you are getting up to!

So you have had your flu injections, Wendy – reading about your last week’s activities you must be supercharged and also had a large injection of high octane racing fluid!
Thanks for your comments Mike.
Why not comment on the actual post, rather than on the About page?
Hello Wendy
I now know what a blog looks like. Could you please mail me how to view the waorks we were discussing last Tuesday. We enjoyed your visit and hope you have returned safely in the UK. Kind regards Gerald
