Last night we held a pancake party as the climax of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. It fell on the feast of St.Paul, Chinese New Year and Burns Night. Some sixty people attended and we had a great time and some jolly good pancakes, savoury and sweet.

This is becoming something of a fixture in the social calendar of our town (and deservedly so) but hasn’t it been on Shrove Tuesday on previous years ? Anyway it was a lovely evening, and a delightful meal. Thank you both very much.
P.s. Just checked my diary and I suppose you’ll still be in the antipodes on Shrove Tuesday this year ???
